Abstract

My presentation will begin by tracing the history of film financing in Spain, Portugal and Latin America. I will then locate the contemporary film financing strategies of these so-called 'Hispanic' countries within current discussions on transnational film financing strategies, co-productions and film festivals in World Cinema, as it is broadly understood.
