Seminar 4: Elearning policy informed by elearning research

30th November 2005, University of Manchester

Speakers will include: Professor Diana Laurillard, Chair of Learning with Digital Technologies, London Knowledge Laboratory; Professor Robert-Jan Simons, Director for the Centre of ICT, Utrecht; and Nick Burbules, Grayce Wicall Gauthier Professor, Dept of Educational Policy studies University of Illinois.

Seminar 5: Researching the immediate world

The focus of this seminar will be the challenge of researching communication in newer communication spaces. Young people entering Higher Education prefer immediate communication, such as mobile phones and synchronous discussions, and there is increasing use of blogs and wikis. All of these create challenges for researchers.
